Abstract

The concept of existential shattering was introduced by Tom Greening before being developed by several of his former students and colleagues. Initially, it was defined as a sudden dismantling of one's meaning systems in worldview. In this article, we further develop and expand the definition of existential shattering, adding further nuance to its definition.
