This paper was first given as a keynote speech at the 30th anniversary conference of the Society for Existential Analysis. It takes a look at the uncertain future of existential therapy over the next thirty years. This includes the promising prospects of the new structures that have been created for our profession, as well as the dangers ahead. It considers some of the tasks of existential therapists in a changing world, including in relation to the political and cultural challenges that can be expected.
