Abstract

Drawing upon Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology, I examine a personal account of trauma and its effect upon the body schema. This leads to disruptions in the foundational meaning-making in one's sensorimotor engagement with the world. I then discuss the therapeutic potential for Kum Nye movement to restore the body schema's everyday functioning.
