This issue of the Journal includes a number of papers which take as their focus various perspectives on Heidegger.

This interest in the German philosopher is perhaps in tune with a general resurgence of scholarly attention to his work, insofar as it informs existential psychotherapy at the end of the millennium.

We also include papers on Levinas and Merleau-Ponty, both of whom were strongly influenced by Heidegger but went on to develop their own highly distinctive approaches.
