Mystification and Confusion in Recent Critique of Psychiatry

The taboo against exposing the greatest hoax of the modern era – the construction of the myth of mental illness and psychiatry’s attempts to treat ‘it’ – is as powerful as ever. In this paper I argue that the current era of psychiatric criticism only serves to reinforce it. I clarify a guiding principle of authentic existential practice as a corrective.
