Abstract

Therapy has changed substantially in the past one hundred years and there have been significant innovations in the past twenty years. It is argued that openness is major value of phenomenology, and for existential therapy to survive and remain relevant outside private work it must embrace innovations in the broader therapy field. Three such possible avenues are briefly discussed.
