Abstract

This paper reviews the history of existential therapy in Lithuania which has considerably influenced development of existential therapy in all the post- Soviet realm. The author describes the historical context within this space in which existential therapy emerged, and the foundations that it drew upon. Also presented is a brief review of the activities of the most important existential therapy entities in Lithuania, the Institute of Humanistic and Existential Psychology and the East European Association for Existential Therapy.
